Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC) is the main advertising method we do budget for, and quite simply we pay search engines (Google,Yahoo and MSN) for advertising our websites as sponsored hyperlinks. The way it works is that every time a user clicks on our advert or link, we pay these companies a small fee, hence the term pay-per-click.
Similarly to choosing keywords for the "organic" listings (mentioned in the first bulletin), it is important that the most productive keywords are chosen, because it is these words that people are most likely to enter into the search bar when looking for our products or services.
E-mail Marketing is a form of direct marketing that uses electronic mail (email) as a means for communicating a message to the required audience. There are many advantages to this over traditional direct mail, the main being a huge cost saving, since email is free.
Email marketing is instant, which means that a message will be received by the target market a few seconds after it is sent. It also allows the marketer to push the message to their targeted segment, whereas websites wait for visitors to come in.
